First line: To ye Lords of Maties most hon privie Counsell..., "To ye Lords of Maties most honll privie Counsell The humble petitioune of Thomas Ker of Mersingtowne Sheweth That gr[?] your petr haveing taillzied[?] his haill estate To Mr Alexr Swintoune advocatt in mariage with his Niece Upon conditioune of the name and armes of Ker to be assumed by the aires of the mariage The payt of the petrs debt And retaining the Lyferent use of the haill estate L-- -- e payeing to the said Mr Alexr the rents of the Just debts to be payed by him Conforme to the expresse conditioune of the taillzie[?] and backband[?] relative therto herewith produced Secondit with many oathes and asseveratiounes by word and Letter Notwithstanding gr[?] of the said Mr Alexr hath not onlie broken the taillzie and suspended the backband But also accompanied with a number of rude persons tooke your petr...
