Capt Willet freight London November ye 13th 1697 Sir Wee are now arrived at ye land of peace wch in a former ler* I tolde you wee could not distinguish from a cloud & it was indeed so long and so deepe in ye mist that the most piercing eye could hardly discerne it till wee were in ye port [?] our hopes were greater then our faith yet many doubted till ye Royal had given the finishing strokes to that misterious Treaty at ye happy conclusion of wch ye admiration of people equals theire joy ...
